The CPIA 2025 Mid-Year Update is a review and update of your National Association activities so far in 2025. The CPIA Board, Committees and Advisory Groups continue to work diligently on making steady improvements to our association while delivering value to the Canadian Printing Industry.
The mission of the CPIA is to provide a national voice and platform for our industry and a connection point for regional associations, sector associations and print-focused post-secondary educational programs.
In response to the current Canada Post labor dispute, the CPIA has communicated with Mr. Doug Ettinger, CEO of Canada Post Corporation outlining the concerns of the printing industry in Canada. The letter was also sent to The Honorable Joël Lightbound, Minister of Government Transportation, Public Works and Procurement.
The CPIA, PGIA and all the regional associations in Canada urge the Canadian Government, Canada Post and CUPW to swiftly adopt the recommendations made in the final report of the Industrial Inquiry Commission’s (IIC) concerning the ongoing collective bargaining challenges and financial crisis at Canada Post.
The Canadian Printing Industries Association (CPIA) has compiled the information below on the anticipated US import tariffs. The information is meant to educate print industry members on the current framework for the US tariffs which were briefly imposed at the beginning of March 2025 and expected to be re-imposed on April 2, 2025.
