Important Notice Regarding PGIA Dissolution and Membership Options

Announcement to Alberta Printing Industry Members

To all members of the Printing and Graphics Industry Association (PGIA), as well as all others involved in the printing industry across Alberta, this notice serves to provide critical updates regarding association membership and related matters.

Dissolution of the PGIA

Effective 2025-11-26, the PGIA has officially been dissolved as a society, in accordance with the Alberta Securities Act. This decision was made due to the Association’s minimal membership and the conclusion that it no longer served a relevant role within the industry.

Your Membership in the CPIA

Previously, membership in the PGIA included automatic membership in the Canadian Printing Industries Association (CPIA). However, please note that continued CPIA membership is only available through affiliation with a regional association.

How to Maintain CPIA Membership

To remain a member of the CPIA, you must now join through another regional association. You have the option to obtain membership via the Saskatchewan Printing Industries Association (SPIA) or Print Forward (British Columbia). These Associations may be in contact with you in the near future.
